Late eighties, I remember Stewart Robson running half the pitch to clatter Ronnie Whelan into the hoardings after the dirty paddy had elbowed Ray Stewart earlier in the match. It had absolutely pissed down that afternoon and part of the guttering in the north bank (I think) collapsed, soaking the poor cunts underneath, much to everyone else's amusement.

E/Frankfurt in 76 and in latter days the Ipswich play off game... the atmosphere for those two games will never be replicated

I actually can't get my head around it.

I'm fairly open-minded about the move, but I literally cannot get my head around he fact that the ground that has been there longer than I can remember, will just not be there any more.

I'll probably start to get it when the builder's boards are up and the cranes etc are in.

Just another London building site...

Reading all your memories, many of which I shared, just brought a tear to my eye. First went in 1973 and it's been a massive part of my life ever since and it's been fantastic, win or lose.

I'll add 1981 league cup qf, the West Side bouncing the yids bullied in the south bank.

Piling onto the pitch after the last home game of the season are great memories.

The 2-0 victory against Cambridge was my favourite. I was stood on the south bank that day and when Clive Allen scored our second, securing promotion to the Premiership, everybody flooded onto the pitch.

There was a minute left to play, but the ref didn't bother trying to get the game restarted. He just blew for full time.

My favourite game is the Bradford 5-4 as it had everything.

How do you pick the best moment though, there have been so many?

On a personal level spending the night in the hotel and opening the curtains with a view of the whole ground was a particular highlight!

Then had a good chat with George Parris in the queue for breakfast. Top man!
